Cultural Heritage and Preservation
As a vital part of the world’s cultural heritage, Chichen Itza faces challenges related to preservation, including the effects of tourism, weather, and natural erosion. In response, Mexico’s government and international teams have worked together to protect and conserve the site. Efforts include careful restoration of the pyramid and other structures, as well as promoting sustainable tourism practices to limit the impact on the surrounding environment. The site remains an important cultural symbol, not only for Mexico but also for the entire world, showcasing the astronomical and architectural knowledge of the Maya civilization. Shutdown123
